Straight fit is fairly forgiving to size, but a few checks help you land on the right number.
Measure at your natural waistline and match to the size chart — straight fit isn't designed to sit low, so avoid sizing down expecting it to sit on the hips.
You should have a small amount of ease through the thigh, enough to sit down without pulling, but not so much that the fabric bunches when standing.
Because the leg doesn't taper, straight fit shows length differences clearly at the ankle. A slight break at the shoe is the standard, classic look.
